Athena has proven relationship building experience in business development, management consulting and operations. She started the Elitist Group in 2000, a management consulting and recruiting firm. In 2010, she joined YTS Global, a hospitality consulting firm who owned a single restaurant. Over her tenure, she and her husband bought out partners. The company grew, opened three brands and nine units. In 2019, the restaurants were franchised. She is taking her experience full circle in consulting on multi-unit, diversity and inclusion, and talent development.

She has excelled in diverse environments; corporate, start up, and turn around. Having worked with new business development, she understands the need for structure and flexibility during explosive growth or challenging times, demonstrating a keen ability to anticipate needs and consistently achieve goals. She has overseen teams of ten to one hundred forty.

Her approach to building teams is very no-nonsense and intuitive. Her focus is on the correct fit. She is enthusiastic about inclusiveness and diversity. She has built high-performing teams based on employees’ personal direction, talents, or interests. This has been key with retention, repeat business, and maintaining a joyful work environment.
